about us
Asian American and Pacific Islander Gun Owners (AAPIGO) is a educational and advocacy organization founded out of necessity during the height of the anti-Asian violence sweeping across the US in 2020 and 2021, largely by concerned citizens on Reddit.
It is spearheaded by a diverse group of proud gun owners who seek to fill a void in the gun community where there is a severe lack of resources, networks, and forums catered towards Asian American gun owners—especially new gun owners—and those contemplating gun ownership.
Our goal is to provide resources and tools to promote responsible gun ownership among the AAPI community, promote self-preservation, break down cultural barriers against firearms,
and become a respected voice in the gun rights sphere.
While AAPIGO is geared towards helping and advocating for the AAPI community, we welcome people from all backgrounds, races, religions, and political beliefs. We believe that gun rights are human rights and is a nonpartisan issue that should not be exclusive to any law-abiding citizen or political party.
